Royal Enfield Classic 650 Bike 2025 Launch Date, All Features & Specification

On the 650 Twins platform, Royal Enfield’s next model is likely to be the Classic 650. On Indian roads, the upcoming Classic 650 has been seen testing drive numerous times. When it goes on sale, the RE Classic 650 will replace the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Super Meteor 650, and Shotgun 650 models in the 650 Twins lineup.

A teardrop-shaped fuel tank, elongated fenders, and a circular LED headlamp are all visible in spy shots of the test model. In addition, its retro appearance is enhanced by its dual peashooter exhaust pipes. The Classic 650 will have twin shocks in the back and traditional telescopic forks in the front for its suspension. It will roll on wire-spoke wheels and tube-type tires. Disc brakes with dual-channel ABS as standard will control braking on both the front and rear wheels.

Launch Date & Price

The Royal Enfield Classic 650 is expected to go on sale in India in December 2026 for between ₹ 3,00,000 to ₹ 3,20,000.

Royal Enfield Classic 650 Bike Features

The 648cc air/oil-cooled mill will serve as a stressed member on the platform that the upcoming Classic 650 will use, which will be based on the same steel chassis as the Shotgun 650. A 6-speed gearbox is paired with that motor, which is capable of producing 52.3 Nm at 5,650 rpm and 46.4 bhp at 7,250 rpm. The motorcycle will have twin shock absorbers at the rear and a telescopic fork setup at the front for handling suspension duties.

The parallel-twin, 649cc engine that powers the other models will also be available for the Classic 650. The Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, and most recent Super Meteor 650 all share the same platform, so Royal Enfield is currently developing a Classic 650. The Royal Enfield Classic 650 will likely share styling cues with the 350cc model.

The same 648cc parallel-twin motor that makes 46 bhp and 52.3 Nm of torque powers the Royal Enfield Classic 650. The Classic 650 will likely have a manual 6-speed transmission. In terms of additional mechanical details, the Classic 650’s wheels might also be smaller.

Braking

The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650’s 648cc air-/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine will power the Classic 650. The motorcycle will probably have a different engine tune, but it will still produce the same 47.6 PS and 52 Nm of power. The bike has a telescopic fork with covers, twin shock absorbers in the back, and Metzeler tyres wrapped around 19-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels (similar to those seen in other countries). Dual-channel ABS discs control braking at both ends.

Design

The Classic 650 maintains the Classic 350’s overall design on the styling front, with a few subtle design tweaks to differentiate it. From the other 650 models, the carry-forward headlamp, which is LED-type, has been used. The peashooter exhausts complement the overall design, and the 2-in-2 exhaust system has a pleasing form. The blue-colored springs at the rear of the test mule indicate that they are of a different spring rate being tested.
