The interior of the Tata Punch is plush and comfortable. The white and grey plastics have a nice finish, and the design as a whole is straightforward. A 7-inch floating island LCD infotainment setup and a 7-inch TFT unit for various displays are included in the highest trim. You can adjust the tilt steering and driver seat height to get a better driving position, and the seats are comfortable enough. The seats in the back are comfortable, and there is a lot of legroom, both in terms of headroom and under-thigh support.

Another 7-inch TFT driver binnacle display is included in the Tata Punch’s infotainment system. Despite the presence of Apple CarPlay and other connectivity features, the infotainment unit does not include wireless connectivity. The iRA connected car suite and cruise control are two additional features that are only available as an option on the most expensive model.

Tata Punch Car Features
It will have a shorter length than the Altroz, which is expected to be around 3850mm, which is the segment standard, but it will be supported by the same ALFA platform as the Altroz. The front end resembles that of the Harrier SUV, with sleek LEDs on top and a triangular design for the headlamp placement. Due to its aggressive body cladding and 15-inch diamond-cut wheels, it is anticipated to appear larger than life.
Engine
Since Tata has long since left the diesel market in this region, the Punch only has their 1.2-liter petrol engine, which has 84 bhp and 113 nm of torque. Button start, cruise control, climate control, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system, and a mechanism for adjusting the height of the driver’s seat are among the segment-standard features that will be included in the fully loaded Punch.

Mileage
Tata claims that the 5-speed manual transmission gets 20.09 kmpl and the AMT transmission gets 18.8 kmpl. We were able to achieve 13.86 km/h in the city in our real-world tests and 17.08 km/h on our highway mileage tests. In real-world conditions, you can anticipate a mileage of 12-14 km/l in the city and 16-18 km/l on the highway.

Torque
The three-cylinder, 1.2-liter Altroz engine is the only engine option available for the Tata Punch. When paired with the 5-speed manual and AMT systems, this generates 86 horsepower and 113 Nm of maximum torque. Even though its performance is satisfactory, the AMT unit may not excite anyone. When there is congestion or peak traffic, the drive continues to have a slight unsteadiness at times.
Wheels
Punch has a sophisticated and refined design and top-of-the-line 16-inch wheels. The automobile has plastic cladding and useful LED daytime running lights. Although it is edgy enough to warrant attention, the front may have the impression of a miniature version of the Tata Harrier or Safari. The rear design has straight lines and a template that looks more like a hatch. Overall, the car is well-proportioned and looks like a mini-SUV when driving.
Tata Punch Car Key Specification
The Tata Punch is a subcompact SUV with a tape length of 3.8 meters, which makes it significantly smaller than the 4 meters of “compact SUVs” we are accustomed to. However, it promises to look and feel like a smaller version of a “pukka” SUV. It has the Tiago and Altroz’s 86 horsepower, 1.2-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine, but there may be a turbocharged version or even an electric version in the future.

Final Words
The Tata Punch is a good highway vehicle because it can comfortably cruise at 100 kilometers per hour. Shifting is not as smooth as you would expect, and the AMT system feels sluggish. This is not a problem when driving in the city, but there is a manual mode in the gearbox for more sportiness. With quick manual downshifting, the engine’s note improves at 5,500 RPM. The manual version is also more fun to drive and has a light clutch for easier driving.
