The Hindu festival of Janmashtami, also known as Krishna Janmashtami, commemorates the birth of Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is celebrated with great fervor in India and around the world because it is one of Hinduism’s most significant festivals. Monday, August 26 is Janmashtami in 2025. The celebration is commended more than two days, with the fundamental day ofestivities falling on the eighth day of the dim fortnight of the period of Bhadrapada, as indicated by the Hindu schedule. On the eve of Janmashtami, kirtans and bhajan chanting are common ways to kick off the festival’s festivities.<\/p>\n
